Our varieties include:
We also have several “patches” of elderberries, some are planted in the midst of our blackberries (to distract birds from the blackberries), but we also have some alongside a swampy patch by our small pond and another by our little orchard.
- German Elderberries (sambucus nigra)
Several varieties of fruit trees are part of our small orchard, mainly pears, including Asian, Bosc and Anjou. We also have some sour cherries, Stanley plums and peaches.
JAM & SMOOTHIE GARDEN
Our “jam and smoothie” garden includes a few varieties of strawberries, red and black raspberries, rhubarb, currants and gooseberries – for experimenting with flavors and textures in various combinations.
