Meet and take photos with Miss Mermaid PA 2022! Paddle on over during the craft fair and visit with Gingersnap, our local mermaid.

Join Mella Luna Studios at the Winery for a relaxing, outdoor yoga session! The yoga class is from 1pm to 2pm and is for All-Levels of experience.  Please bring a yoga mat or large towel.

No need to preregister, just stop by and join us! Class Fee: $10

Join us on Saturday May 7th, 2022 to celebrate Mother’s day with some sweet treats. Brooke’s Cakes and Sweets out of Shippensburg, PA will be providing four delicious cupcakes or macarons to be paired with a four pour flight of our semi-sweet to sweet wines*.

Each ticket includes:
4 pour flight of our semi-sweet to sweet wines
4 different macarons OR 4 different cupcakes
1 pairing guide of suggestions

Due to the limited capacity in our tasting room, we have multiple event times. (Please purchase tickets for the approximate time that you plan to arrive).  If you are unable to join us in-person on the day of this event, please purchase one of our limited ‘Pick-up Only Pairing’ tickets! You will receive your macarons or cupcakes and flight packaged in a bag so you are able to enjoy your pairing from the comfort of your own home.

*If you would prefer dry- semi-sweet wines only, please request the dry flight option during the day of the event.

Welcome to Wine & Sign Wednesdays!

Alyssa Arter and The Winery at The Long Shot Farm are pleased to bring you this experience of learning and merriment as we sip our way through language acquisition.

American Sign Language (ASL) is a beautifully expressive language that utilizes hand gestures and facial expressions to communicate. Early and enhanced communication with children, as well as connecting with those in the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community will make your life infinitely richer. We will focus heavily on vocabulary acquisition, while also picking up some tips on appropriate communication and deaf culture. Classes will be fast paced, but geared toward the beginning signer. No experience needed!

This series will occur in two parts: Series 1 and Series 2. Each class will meet once per week, for 8 consecutive weeks. Each student will be entitled to ONE FREE glass of wine or small wine slushy per week. Additional glasses may be purchased on site. Those under 21 years of age will receive a bottle of water and a snack. Required textbook will be provided and used for both series. Classes are intended for adult beginners (16+) and/or those looking to brush up on skills. Please come equipped with paper and pencils for note taking.

Pre registration and payment are required by Friday, May 6th to allow adequate time for textbook delivery. Please follow the link below to submit your registration and payment.

Join us for a painting event at the Winery with Sam, Friday May 27th at 6 pm. Along with creating your own one of a kind painting, you will receive a flight of wine, glass of wine, or a large wine slushie!  (Non-alcoholic slushies available for younger guests.)

Sam will walk you through the painting step by step. Expect a fun time with wine, friends and laughter. Tickets should be purchased by May 23rd.  Purchase tickets here.

The Italian Job Food Truck will be back at the Winery! They will be serving from 5:00pm-8:00pm. Cash and Cards accepted.  Jack’s Back will also be playing music this evening from 5:00-8:00pm.  There is no cover charge.  Music at the winery is free to listen to for all paying customers. All tips at the bar will go to the band so be sure to show them some love!  Remember, all alcohol must be purchased from the winery.

Try a Grazing Box prepared by Central Wedge.  These boxes feature PA produced specialty cheese and charcuterie and offer a diverse variety of flavors, from sweet fruit and dips to salty cheeses and savory charcuterie.  To reserve your box, simply email rachel@thelongshotfarm.com or give the Winery a call by Monday, May 30. If you forget, don’t worry, we will still have boxes for purchase available in the tasting room that weekend.

Collier: Contents of this grazing box are selected in remembrance of the dangerous and smoky business of making charcoal for the iron ore furnaces along South Mountain.

Per Person Serving: 1.5 oz of smoked cheddar, 1.5 oz of smoked Colby, .75 oz of smoked salami, tangy maple mustard, rye crackers, and house-made smoked and spiced almonds.

Seasonal: The cheesemonger carefully selects the contents of this grazing box based on the foods that are currently in season.

Per Person Serving: 1 oz of cheese, .5 oz of charcuterie, selection of fresh/dried fruits and/or fresh/pickled vegetables*, dip or jam, bread or crackers, nuts and occasionally chocolates. Palate-friendly flavors such as cheddar, gouda and colby will be selected.  

Cheese Flight: Tina Weyant and Stephanie from Central Wedge Cheese Shop have chosen a selection of cheeses that can be enjoyed on their own or paired with a flight of Winery at Long Shot Farm wines.

$14.00 Serves 1-2 people

Per Person Serving: 1-2 oz of 5 cheeses (may include strong flavors such as goat or blue cheese), jam, nuts and fresh or dried fruit.

Join us at the Winery for Disney Trivia on Friday, June 3 at 6pm, hosted by Cheaters Never Prosper. Teams can be up to 4 people. Purchase 1 ticket per team.  The first question is announced at 6:00PM so come early.  With the purchase of your ticket your team will receive a $20 Long Shot Farm gift card upon arrival to use on your first purchase. If your team is more than 4 people, you will need to purchase a second ticket. Please come with your email confirmation of the ticket (on your phone is fine) and ID showing you are 21+ to receive the gift card.
