Welcome to Craft Days at the Winery! We are super excited to have invited several local creators to visit the Winery. This is an inside event and is a great opportunity to shop local and find unique gifts for the holidays!

Join us for a Christmas toast at Long’s Tree Farm on December 4th and 5th. The Winery will be pouring some holiday cheer from 11 – 5 pm on Saturday and 11-4pm on Sunday. Browse the selection of fresh cut and cut-your-own Christmas trees, as well as balled trees, fresh wreaths, Christmas décor and more.

In addition to free wine samples, the Winery will be serving a holiday treat: their mulled Winter Blend Wine! Stop by and purchase a glass to enjoy or bottle to take home. We are looking forward to seeing you and your families at the Tree Farm.

Join us for a painting event at the Winery with Sam, Friday December 17th at 6 pm. Along with creating your very own one of a kind painting you will receive a flight of wine or a large wine slushie!  (Non-alcoholic slushies available for younger guests.)

Sam will walk you through the painting step by step. Expect a fun time with wine, friends and laughter. Tickets must be purchased by December 15th.  Purchase tickets here.

Hello future knitter! Sign up for this 3 week beginner knitting series at Long Shot Farm! The classes will be held on 3 consecutive Sundays in January. Space is limited and is designed for beginners only.

Deborah Fenton, a self taught knitter with over 35 years of knitting experience, will guide you through the creation of a simply knit hat. Although this will be Deborah’s first official knitting class, she has taught many individuals one-on-one whom are now quite proficient knitters.

With each $45 ticket purchased you will receive circular knitting needles, a skein of yarn, instruction to complete the project, and one glass of wine per class!  Classes will be held Sundays from 2-3:30 on January 9th, January 16th, and January 23rd.  Purchase tickets here.

The Winery at Long Shot Farm has partnered with Central Wedge Cheese Shop to bring you an educational and entertaining evening celebrating Pennsylvania cheese and wine. Join winemaker and grape growers, Tina and Rachel Weyant, along with local cheese expert, Stephanie Beeman, on this interactive cheese and wine pairing class.

Stephanie, a Carlisle native, has spent more than a decade combining her passion for food with her skills and knowledge of the dairy industry to bring a cheese shop to Carlisle. Her business specializes in artisan, farmstead and specialty cheeses produced by Pennsylvania cheesemakers.

As you sample four Pennsylvania cheeses, you will hear from Stephanie as she tells the story of each cheesemaker, their production methods, and how their business fits into the growing cheese scene in our state. Tina and Rachel will discuss the characteristics of the wines and share basic pairing strategies. Tools will be provided for you to practice scoring each pairing using a simple system.  Seasonal fruits, vegetables, nuts, charcuterie and crackers will also be provided.

Tickets are $60 each or two for $100.  Space is limited.

Visit us at the Carlisle Antique Mall with your Valentine for a special, one day shopping and dining experience.  Join The Winery and Chef Colston of Flavor 76 while you sip and stroll the Antique Mall’s vast collection of boho, antique, upcycled, industrial, primitive, and vintage collectables.  They will be welcoming an additional 50 vendors to celebrate ranging from bakers and confectioners to soap and candle makers. Looking forward to seeing you there!

This weekend stop by and try a Grazing Box prepared by Central Wedge.  These boxes feature PA produced specialty cheese and charcuterie and offer a diverse variety of flavors, from sweet fruit and dips to salty cheeses and savory charcuterie.  To reserve your box, simply email rachel@thelongshotfarm.com or give the Winery a call by Monday, January 31st. If you forget, don’t worry, we will still have boxes for purchase available in the tasting room that weekend.

Cheese Flight (1 person) $14
1 oz serving of 5 different cheeses selected to pair with the Winery at Long Shot Farm wines, plus jam, nuts and berries.

Collier Snack Box (1-2 people) $12
Smoke and whiskey salami, Smoke sharp cheddar, Smoked colby, Spiced smoked almonds, Tangy maple mustard, with Rye crackers in a compostable box. Learn more about the Collier Snack Box here.

Medium Grazing Box (3-6 people) $35
3 cheeses, 1 charcuterie, crackers or bread, a variety of seasonal fruits and vegetables, and dip or jam in a compostable box.

Large Grazing Board (8+ people, max 16) $16 per person, must be ordered in advance
4 cheeses, 2 charcuterie, crackers or bread, a variety of seasonal fruits and vegetables, dip and jam.  Served on a board with chalkboard insert (not disposable).
